Creative Perception of Energy: Energy As you Feel it! (Short Film Contest)

Eligibility: Young professionals from the hydrocarbon industry and students. Age 35 and years below, as on 11.01.2014


  1. 1   Short film should be based on the theme: Energy
  2. 2   Films can be in color, or black and white
  3. 3   Film Type: Entries may be any style or genre of film (e.g. documentary, animation, narrative fiction, etc.).
  4. 4   Run-time of the movie should be One-Minute or less , including front and back credits.
  5. 5   Film Format: Entries must be in digital format, as the submission process takes place through Online Submission of video link.
  6. 6   Your film has to be uploaded on from your personal channel, and Titled as follows:

         ReYuvaNation 2014: CPoE Short Film Contest - "your film title"

         The following Tags must be entered in the Video details: Reyuvanation 2014, PETROTECH, Youth, Energy industry, Oil & Gas, India
  7. 7   The youtube link of your video has to be submitted on ReYuvaNation website through the Contest Entry Form.
  8. 8   Releases and Copyrighted Material:

    If your film contains any copyrighted material (music for example) the filmmaker will be responsible for securing the licensing rights. (To avoid the expense and difficulty of securing such rights we recommend using only original, non-copyrighted material or material licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license).

Can I use music from other sources as background/ part of my film?

Can I submit a film made by someone other than myself?

Films must be submitted by the original maker. The person signing the entry form must be legally authorized to enter this film in this contest. All persons/ groups/ Institutions who were engaged by you to work on the Entry, who appear in the Entry in any manner, or have contributed to the Entry should have given you their written consent to submit the Entry.

Can I submit multiple films?

You can submit a maximum of 3 entries.

Why has my submitted film been rejected?

The organisers reserve the right to reject any submitted film. Films deemed inappropriate and irrelevant by the organisers will be rejected and no further correspondence on this shall be entertained.

How are the film entries judged?

  • All films that comply with the competition rules will undergo a competitive process of evaluation by Jury, who shall select the top 3 entries.
  • There shall be exciting prizes for the winning entries. In addition, surprise rewards shall be given for the most popular entries based on online voting.

What are the legal implications?

  • Short films that are submitted must be the entrants’ original work and shall not infringe on any copyrights or any other rights of any third parties.
  • Contestants agree that they have obtained all required permissions regarding music, sound and/or images presented in the short film. By entering the contest, the entrant agrees that the organisers will not be held liable for any copyright infringements perpetrated by the entrant or the submitted short film.
  • All the legal issues, if any, shall be under the jurisdiction of Delhi Courts only.

Other Terms & Conditions

The organisers of ReYuvaNation 2014 have sole and absolute discretion to determine which submission entries, if any, merit an award. The organisers reserve the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to change, modify, extend or reduce the terms and conditions of, or to suspend or terminate, the competition without prior notice. They will endeavor to inform participants of any such change, modification, extension, reduction, suspension or termination, as the case may be, through any media outlet deemed appropriate by the organisers in its sole and absolute discretion. The organisers further reserve the right to nullify and/or cancel any part or all of the competition if it appears that any fraud or malfunctions have occurred in any form whatsoever. Each participant undertakes to indemnify and keep the organisers harmless from and against any loss, damage, claims, costs and expenses which may be incurred by or asserted against the organisers as a result of such participant's participation in the competition. Participation in the competition and submission of films grants the organisers a perpetual, worldwide, royalty free license to use the entries in its sole discretion. Submission of the films grants the organisers the right to use the films/ or parts of the films in its media, including but not limited to its website, marketing materials, or upcoming books and films. Any film selected to be used in that way would be done so with proper attribution to the maker.
