LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF NOMINATIONS FOR PETROTECH SPECIAL TECHNICAL AWARDS HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 15TH AUGUST, 2010

  1. Categories:
    To identify, recognize, honour and reward exemplary performance by individuals, teams and Corporates in the Petroleum sector, Petrotech Society has instituted the following awards

    • Innovation - Individual Award
    • Project Management - Team Award
    • Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility - Corporate Award
    • Greening of Oil and Gas Business - Corporate Award

       

  2. Award:
    The winners will be recognized and honoured in the presence of a large gathering of Petroleum industry leaders and professionals at the Petrotech - 2010, the 9th International oil & Gas conference and Exhibition from October 31 to November 2, 2010 at New Delhi. ‘Innovation Award’ carries a cash award of Rs.2 Lakh and a citation. Team Award for ‘Project Management’ carries an award of Rs 3 Lakh and a Citation. Corporates winning the ‘Award for Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility’ and ‘Greening of Oil and Gas Business’ will be presented with a trophy and a citation

  4. Last Date for Receipt of Nominations:
    Application/ nomination and supporting materials must be received by 1800 hours on 31st July, 2010 via email or post. No extensions to this date will be granted under normal circumstances and incomplete entries will not be considered
    • 5.1 Eligibility Criteria And Application Details for ‘Innovation Award’ - Individual Award
      The Petrotech Special Technical Award for Innovation is open to any exemplary innovator in an upstream, midstream, downstream or service company in the Petroleum sector operating in India. Any innovation by an individual during the last two financial years i.e. 2008-2010 is eligible for nomination. One or more innovators from a company may be nominated for consideration of the award.

       

      The application for the Award should essentially contain:-

      • The complete details of basis of the innovation - scientific and technical principles and research done which led to the innovation.
      • Full description of the innovation with details of status prior to innovation, details of implementation.
      • Commercial/ economic / social impact of the innovation.
      • Cost benefits, scope of further implementation and potential benefits etc. may be provided. Testimony of the effectiveness of the innovation, from the end users.
      • Details of IPR generated / patent awarded, if any, and comparison with existing industry best practices.

         

    • 5.2 Eligibility Criteria and Application Details For ‘Award In Project Management’ - Team Award
      The Petrotech Special Technical Award for Project Management is open to projects undertaken by any upstream, midstream, downstream or a service company in the Petroleum sector operating in India. Any project completed during the last two financial years i.e.2008-2010 is eligible for nomination. Companies may nominate one or more projects for consideration of the award.

       

      The application for the Award should essentially contain:-

      • Full description of the projects with details of budget, actual cost, size, complexities involved, scheme details, contractors/sub-contracts involved etc. may be provided.
      • Notable achievements / innovation which has led to a tangible improvement in the project management or project objectives.
      • Details of time/cost over-runs, if any and how they were managed
      • People management issues and their resolution
         
    • 5.3 Eligibility Criteria and Application Details for ‘Award In Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility’ – Corporate Award
      The Petrotech Special Technical Award for Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility is open to all upstream, midstream, downstream and service companies in the petroleum sector operating in India. Companies may submit entries for their CSR activities undertaken during the last two financial years i.e. 2008-2010.

       

      The application for the Award should essentially contain:-

      • The basic concept and philosophy of the corporate towards CSR, enunciation and documentation of the policy, involvement of employees at all levels of the corporate in the CSR initiative, consistency and perseverance in the effort till the last intended beneficiary is touched - may be elaborated in the application.
      • Full description of the major CSR projects with details of budget, actual cost, size, complexities involved, scheme details, major beneficiaries, execution and monitoring, impact assessment, beneficiary feedback etc. may be provided.
         
    • 5.4 Eligibility Criteria and Application Details for ‘Award In Greening Of Oil And Gas Business’ - Corporate Award
      The Petrotech Special Technical Award for Greening of Oil and Gas Business is open to all upstream, midstream, downstream and service companies in petroleum sector operating in India. Companies may submit entries for their performance in ‘Greening of the Oil and Gas Business’ during the last two financial years i.e. 2008-2010.

       

      The application for the Award should essentially contain:-

      • The basic concept and philosophy of the Corporate towards Green initiatives, enunciation and documentation of the policy, involvement of employees at all levels of the corporate in the Green initiative, consistency and perseverance in the effort may be elaborated in the application. Efforts and recognitions in achieving minimum impact on eco-systems, arresting degradation and promoting preservation and enhancement of green and sustainable environment may be detailed.
      • Full description of the major green projects, with details of budget, actual cost, size, complexities involved, scheme details, major beneficiaries, execution and monitoring, impact assessment, beneficiary feedback, green ratings, other measurable results etc. may be provided.
         
  6. Confidentiality :
    ‘Petrotech-2010 Secretariat’ and associated agencies would not be obliged to share any information provided by applicants and/or the evaluation criterion with any agencies or individuals other than those involved like Awards Committee members and the Jury. Applicants are requested to specifically identify in the applications, any confidential information they have furnished for due consideration by the agencies or individuals associated with these awards evaluation. All other information received will be treated as fit for dissemination as needed by Petrotech Society for its activities.
     
  7. General Terms And Conditions:
    • For the purpose of evaluation, only information furnished in the application/nomination would be considered.
    • Copy of Annual Report for respective financial year of the company may be attached.
    • Supporting material is optional. No materials/documents received shall be returned to the applicant
    • Duly approved application/nomination may be submitted by post and soft copy through e-mail/CD/DVD. Approving authority should not be below the rank of Regional Head/ Director /CEO / Chairman / former Chairman.

THERE IS NO SPECIFIC FORMAT FOR APPLYING IN ANY OF THE FOUR AWARD CATEGORIES
